Gifts of 2025–2026
Each year, items are donated to the Ashburton Museum & Historical Society collection, meaning that Rokowhiria acquires new treasures to be cared for and displayed.

Sharing Histories is an annual exhibition of the previous year’s newly acquired objects and archives. In Sharing Histories: Gifts of 2025-2026, the treasured objects, archives and photographs on display are a selection of items that were assessed, accepted and preserved by our collections team throughout during the last year.
Although these items have all been collected for their significance to the Whakatere Ashburton region district, each item has its own unique history to share.
